is it illegal to fly rc plane in zinkil park?(in hollywood florida) i tried to find it in local law butcouldnt?
i am about to receive a 2 channel and 3 channel airplane one is indoor and the other is a trainer and i wanted to know if i can fly them in zinkil park because that’s the closest park to my house (across the street) and the closest rc plane flyers club is QUITE far and i tried to check the local law or parks laws but couldnt find out however what i did find didnt say anything about rc planes so need some help finding it or from whoever knows. they are electric planes btw. thnks for the help
As long as you are shure there are no signs saying no model planes are allowed, it is fine. I fly smaller electrics (foam) in parks and get a bunch of people looking. Also make shure you are about 2 miles away from a real plane airport or you may run into problems with airplanes coming in and out… (bad idea). Other than that, be friendly and if your told you can’t fly there, hate to say it, but its time to pack up and move on. Just respect the people, if there is a big event, don’t go buzzing them at 10′ to get their attention. Use the 300DF with a 3:1 or gearbox and large prop 8x4, or a speed demon on a 5x3 inch or smaller prop. 2 cell Lipo or 3 cell Lipo can be used with all this motor, but best performance can be achieved by using 3 cells+4.5:1 gear ratio with 12X6, or 11X7 or 11X4.7 props. The data for other props and gears: For 3.4:1 gearing use 11x7 HD, 11x4.7 SF For 4.5:1 gearing use 12x6, 11X4.7, 11X7 SF 300DF pusher props have proven to be spectacular. It has been flown with Wing Warrior Zaggis, Wattage HyperWing and Edge RC delta wing planes. Using a small prop direct drive and wings around 16 Oz weight, this is the best you can get at this price. With a 5x4 prop it draws about 12 amps. It is equally good with large props in a gearbox.
