What kind of 4-wheeler should I buy?

I have never had a 4-wheeler before. Here is what I would like to do with it. I would love to ride it on the snow/ice and definately thru the mountains and wooded areas. I’m not looking to race it, but would like something with some pickup to it. I like Honda’s a lot, but am open to other suggestions. I’m not really looking to spend more than $5000 and would be willing to purchase a used one if from a reputable dealer. Any suggestions??
